Bank-level encryption
All data is encrypted in transit with TLS 1.2+ and at rest with AES-256. We store only what we need to power your Maica Map and nothing more.
Read-only access via Plaid
Maica connects through Plaid, the same network trusted by Venmo, Robinhood, and thousands of financial apps. Plaid shares read-only transaction and balance data — Maica cannot move money, make payments, or withdraw funds.
We never sell your data
Your financial information is not a product. We do not sell, rent, or share it with advertisers, data brokers, or third parties for marketing.
Optional multi-factor authentication
Add an extra layer of protection to your Maica account with TOTP-based MFA. We recommend it for anyone who has linked financial accounts.
You control deletion
Request a full account and data deletion from Settings at any time. Our retention policy explains exactly what we keep and for how long.
